Shah Rukh Khan ‘dons’ chef hat for special date with OG Roma Zeenat Aman. Watch video

Shah Rukh Khan and the veteran Zeenat Aman united for a special ad shoot, bringing major nostalgia for the fans of the Don franchise.

Two Bollywood biggies, Shah Rukh Khan and Zeenat Aman, united for an ad shoot for rice brand, and fans are going gaga over the collaboration. Directed by renowned director Shoojit Sircar, the SRK and Zeenat Aman campaign is getting a lot of love online. In the ad, Shah Rukh attempts to woo Zeenat by preparing biryani for her. Shah Rukh played the character of Don in two films, taking over from Amitabh Bachchan, who starred in the original Don alongside Zeenat.

The video also shows  SRK on a call with his wife Gauri Khan, revealing that he is “making a dawat for someone special.” Zeenat is wearing her trademark sunglasses in the clip.

A fan reacted by saying, “Don cooking for Roma?” Another said, “The reunion we never knew we needed.” A third person wrote, “Don with original Roma!”

A few SRK fans also wrote, “Okay can someone please cast him as a chef!! This is a perfect role for him – Cheeni Kum part 2 with actresses his age!” Talking albut SRK’s acting, a user added, “If he unlocks this formula with working with older-age women with not-necessarily a romantic film but all sorts of different topics, there is no stopping for SRK until his age of 80.”

The original Don (1978 film), which had Amitabh Bachchan in dual role, also featured Pran, Iftekhar, Om Shivpuri and Satyen Kappu among others. Don: The Chase Begins Again (2006 film) was directed by Farhan Akhtar and showed Shah Rukh Khan as the titular anti-hero and Priyanka Chopra as Roma, while Arjun Rampal, Isha Koppikar, Boman Irani, Pavan Malhotra, and Om Puri appeared in supporting roles. A sequel, titled Don 2: The King Is Back, (2011 film) with Shah Rukh Khan, alongside Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, Lara Dutta, Om Puri, Nawab Shah, Ally Khan, Sahil Shroff and Kunal Kapoor was released some years later.

Don 3, which is eyeing a 2025 release, will have Ranveer Singh replacing SRK in the main role. The film was all set to go on floors, but there have been been some delays.
