A video of actor Shruti Haasan is going viral on social media. The video shows her being denied entry to a theatre in Chennai. On August 14, Shruti drove to a theatre to watch her recently released film Coolie. However, the guard stationed at the gate stopped her car and denied her entry. Despite an interaction with her, he failed to recognise her. This prompted Shruti to introduce herself to him in the funniest way.

In the video, Shruti can be seen sitting on the passenger seat in the car, when she was stopped at the main gate of Vettri Theater in Chennai. She was accompanied by her friends. On being stopped, Shruti says in Tamil, “I am in the movie, please allow me to enter, brother.” When the guard looked unconvinced, she added, “I am the heroine, sir.” This leaves everybody in the car in splits, with the guard finally letting them in.

The video was later re-shared by the proprietor of the theater Rakesh Gowthaman on his X handle. He wrote, “My man Raayal over performed his duty. Hilarious moment. Thanks for being with us Shruti Haasan mam… Hope you enjoyed the show!”
