Secret Superstar is an upcoming Indian musical drama film, written and directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. The film features Zaira Wasim, Meher Vij and Aamir Khan in lead roles, and tells the story of a child who aspires to be a singer.

Aamir Khan has revealed his favourite song from his upcoming production venture, Secret Superstar, called “Nachdi Phira”. The song can be called a love ballet which very soothingly and soulfully brings to front the story of a lover who has the strength to break all barriers in the name of love. As Zaira Wasim takes over the screen as Inaya, we see a passion within her to break rules and all those societal norms which stop any girl from making her dreams come true.

The song “Nachdi Phira” has Amit Trivedi, Kausar Munir, Meghna Mishra, Advait Chandan and Zaira Wasim at their best.

Aamir, who has been shooting for his next ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, took to Twitter to announce that he has taken a break from the shoot to focus and promote Secret Superstar.

“‘Thugs of Hindostan’ takes a back seat now as I dive 100 per cent into ‘Secret Superstar’ from today,” Aamir wrote on Twitter.

Aamir plays an extended cameo in the film as a music director. Describing his character of Shakti Kumarr , Aamir said his character has all the bad qualities one can imagine in a man.

The film will release on October 19.
