Sameer Wankhede responds to Shah Rukh Khan’s dialogue ‘Bete ko haath lagane se pehle’: ‘This dialogue sounds very roadside’
Sameer Wankhede described Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan dialogue as 'roadside' and responded to it.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan was loved by his ardent fans and as the film was making waves, many pointed out that the dialogue where his character Vikram Rathore announces “Bete ko haath lagane se pehle…” was an indirect dig at the Aryan Khan case. SRK’s son Aryan was arrested for allegedly carrying drugs but was later cleared of all charges. Sameer Wankhede, the officer in charge of investigating Aryan’s case, has now responded to the Jawan dialogue and called it “roadside”.
In a chat with MensXP, Sameer was asked to respond to the dialogue and he said, “This dialogue sounds very roadside to me. I neither watch movies nor listen to any dialogues. I don’t know anything about this movie. But if someone has targeted this towards me, then I would like to respond to it in English.” He then quoted another writer and said, “I have burnt many houses and bridges and I have danced on those burnt houses and bridges so I fear no hell so please don’t scare me.”
Sameer stayed away from commenting on the case as it is still subjudice but when asked about his dealings with Shah Rukh Khan before the case, he said that they had always been cordial. “I can’t comment on the case. But 2-3 times when we met before, it was all very cordial. He knew me quite well and I knew him quite well too,” he said.
Earlier this year, Sameer Wankhede was accused of extorting money from SRK in exchange for releasing his son from custody. Aryan was in jail for a month after the 2021 Cordelia cruise drug bust. At the time, Sameer produced messages allegedly sent by Shah Rukh and stated that there was no proof that he was seeking money from the star.
Wankhede’s plea stated, “Allegations pertaining to the arrest of Aryan Khan being only an attempt for demanding money in exchange of his release are blatantly false and can be clearly seen from the messages sent by Mr Shahrukh Khan himself during the time Aryan was in the custody of NCB. Mr Shahrukh Khan has, vide his messages, clearly portrayed that he has no grievances against the Petitioner and has only requested to be kind to his son.”
