Polish tennis player Kamil Majchrzak recently had a heartwarming reunion with a young fan after a signed cap meant for the child was snatched away in a now-viral moment that broke the Internet. The incident occurred after Majchrzak’s victory over ninth seed Karen Khachanov at the US Open, when he approached the stands to gift his cap to a young boy holding a ball covered in autographs.
However, before the boy could take it, Piotr Szczerek, a Polish millionaire and CEO, suddenly grabbed the cap and passed it to his partner, who quickly tucked it into her bag. The moment was caught on video and rapidly circulated across social media, sparking widespread backlash.

Majchrzak was seen trying to hand the boy his hat when a grown man took it and stashed it in a bag.
Several users condemned Szczerek’s actions, with some demanding he be banned from attending future US Open matches. “Look at them smiling stealing from a kid,” a user wrote. “The man handed the kid back a sharpie. Are we sure they aren’t together? Kid seemed to stop focusing too much on the hat. Man put it in woman’s bag,” another user commented.

After the video came to light, Majchrzak turned to Instagram to ask for help locating the boy. “After the match, I didn’t record that my cap didn’t get to the boy… Could you help me find the kid from my match?” he wrote on Instagram story.
His appeal gained traction, and soon after, Majchrzak was able to meet the young fan. In a follow-up Instagram Story, he shared a heartwarming video titled, “Today, after warm up, I had a nice meeting. Do you recognise?” He ended the caption with a cap emoji.

The video shows Majchrzak greeting two children, including the boy who was previously denied the signed cap. This time, the tennis star personally handed the cap to him, and the boy immediately put it on. The duo then smiled for photos together, celebrating the moment.
In another post, Majchrzak shared a cheerful selfie with the boy wearing the cap, captioned, “Hello World. Together with Brock, we wish you a great day!”
