Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced her decision to take a one-year break from work to prioritise her health following a diagnosis of Myositis, an autoimmune disease. Despite ongoing speculations about her making her Hindi film debut alongside Salman Khan in a Karan Johar production, Samantha clarified her intentions during a recent Instagram live session, stating that her next project is to not have a concrete plan.

In her Instagram live session, Samantha said “My next project is to actually not have one. Not having a plan.” She expressed her desire to be more discerning about her future projects, focusing on roles that challenge her and take her out of her comfort zone. “I want to be more selective about the things that I work on. The things that really push me out of my comfort zone, until I get a role like that, I think I am okay,” she said. A fan shared Samantha’s clip from her live session:

Rumours had been circulating about Samantha and Salman Khan starring together in an upcoming film produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, with director Vishnuvardhan, known for directing Shershaah. However, Samantha has refuted these rumours in her recent Instagram live session.

Recently, another South Indian actor, Nayanthara, made her much-anticipated Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan. Apart from romancing King Khan, the actor is seen performing some action sequences in the film. Released on September 7, Jawan is on track to become the highest-grossing Hindi film, surpassing another Shah Rukh Khan starrer, Pathaan, having amassed a global total of Rs 900 crore to date.

Regarding Samantha’s recent work, she was last seen alongside Vijay Deverakonda in Kushi. The film received mixed reviews and achieved moderate success at the box office. Samantha’s next venture includes the Indian adaptation of the Prime Video series Citadel, in which she will star alongside Varun Dhawan.
