Tiger 3 minted Rs 339.50 crore in India and Rs 464 crore worldwide. Although it had a strong start during the holiday period, mixed word-of-mouth and cricket World Cup affected its chances of reaching the Rs 500 crore global mark.

However, it became director Maneesh Sharma and actor Emraan Hashmi’s highest grossing film, and the second highest for Katrina Kaif worldwide. It also ranked as the fourth highest-grossing film for Salman Khan globally, according to Sacnilk.

Salman thanked his fans for making Tiger 3 a huge success and said, “It is quite amazing that two of my most loved characters Prem and Tiger have entertained people so much on Diwali! As an actor, I have only looked to create memories for people through my brand of cinema and I’m fortunate that they have loved me back.”

Manish Menghani, director and head of content licensing, at Prime Video India said in a statement, “We have had a longstanding and successful partnership with Yash Raj Films and have over the years, been home to some of the most successful films of Indian Cinema – be it the everlasting romance of Silsila or Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge or the thrill of the Dhoom franchise. Early last year, we premiered one of India’s biggest blockbuster hit, Pathaan, on the service, and now we’re thrilled to bring yet another super-hit from the YRF Spy Universe, Tiger 3. It is the perfect start to the year!”
