Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif at a fan event. In just about two days, the world will get to see Salman Khan take on the Tiger avatar. The third film from the franchise, also starring Katrina Kaif, will release on Diwali. While trade experts feel the film does not have ‘enough buzz’, his fans are excited to see him pack punches in the Manish Sharma directorial. The superstar also met his fans at an event on Wednesday, where he indulged in some fun conversations.
While talking about the film with the emcee, Katrina Kaif mentioned how all they want is to ‘entertain’ audiences. As the host informed the actors about the first show being at 6 am, Salman laughed that he would miss it. “6 baje toh thik hai, but saat baje ke baad na flight pakdi jaati hai na films (I can manage till 6 am but I can’t catch either a flight or a film after 7 am),” he shared, hinting at him being nocturnal.

The leading stars were also in for a surprise as a few kids took to the stage and performed on “Le ke prabhu ka naam”. They also interacted with a few students from an NGO school, who even donned the Tiger scarves as they posed for photos. Katrina also spoke about her mother’s school in Madurai for the underprivileged.
“There is a school in Madurai with almost 300 kids now. She has been teaching students from underprivileged families for the last 5-6 years,” Katrina said, before Salman Khan cut her off, stating, “10 years.” The Merry Christmas actor then smiled and agreed with him, before asking the students about their plans for the day.

The advance ticket sales of Tiger 3, the third film in the superhit Tiger franchise, began a week before its release. Within three days, it sold almost 3 lakh tickets of over 10,000 shows, earning over Rs 8 crore. The latest release is touted to be an ‘important’ film for Salman Khan after a string of flops.
Film trade expert and producer Girish Johar is expecting a Rs 100 crore opening for the film at the global box office and is confident that it will create history. He told indianexpress.com, “I’m expecting a very good start at the box office. Probably, the highest for Salman Khan. It is a solo release. There is a gap before the release and after the release. It’s ticking the right boxes and everything is going in its favour.” But he also said that the opening day figure for the film will be “sluggish” and will only grow from Monday.
