Saif Ali Khan praises Naatu Naatu: ‘What crazy steps… I would have a heart attack if I did that’

Saif said, “What crazy steps that song is choreographed with. It’s amazingly done. The South has these incredible dance steps and half-beats that they work with, I think I would have a heart attack if I did that.”

The actor, who was last seen on the big screen in Vikram Vedha said that he is having a great time in South Africa and enjoying the time with his family. Calling it “fabulous”, the actor said that the time he spends with his kids and family is always the best. On the work front, the actor recently finished shooting for film for Red Chillies in Amritsar and used the remaining time to be with his family.

Naatu Naatu has been choreographed by Hyderabad based dancer Prem Rakshith. Prem, who was present at the Oscar ceremony in LA had shared his reaction at the Oscar win. Talking to indianexpress.com, Prem had said, “Rajamouli garu hugged me and I was teary eyed. We all hugged each other and we got really emotional. I got a bit nervous in between when they were announcing nominations. When they announced Naatu Naatu as the winner, we shouted so loudly.”

The song, which has been choreographed on actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR, was also performed on the stage during the Oscar ceremony by a troupe of dancers. Prem revealed that the performance received a standing ovation. “After Naatu Naatu’s performance, they gave a standing ovation. I felt really happy. There was one more song for which they gave a standing ovation…but I was so happy when they all stood up after Naatu Naatu was performed.”
