Farah Khan soft launches Ranbir Kapoor’s niece Samara, she demands a reshoot as her ‘hair looks wet’: ‘Itna budget nahi hai’
During their interaction, Farah Khan asked the mother-daughter duo about a recent viral video in which Samara Sahni appeared to be "sulking" while posing with Riddhima Kapoor and mother Neetu Singh.

Farah Khan and her cook, Dilip, recently paid a visit to the Delhi residence of Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, the daughter of legendary actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh and the sister of Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, where they shot the latest episode of their widely popular vlog. During their interaction, Riddhima’s daughter, Samara, also joined them, winning the hearts of everyone. Astonished by her eye for perfect visual frames and her knack for presenting herself flawlessly, Farah predicted she would be a leading lady in Bollywood one day and also soft launched her with her vlog.
Soon after walking into the frame, Samara asked if she could check the monitor to see how she looked. Hearing this, Farah stated, “Yeh ladki heroine banegi (This girl will become a heroine).” Assuring Samara that she looked great, Farah told her team, “Ache se light kar ma’am ko. Under-eye nahi aana chahiye (Ensure that the lighting on her face is proper. The under-eye shouldn’t be visible).” As Samara suggested filming again, the director-choreographer shot down the idea, maintaining, “Humara budget nahi hai do-do baar film karne ka (We don’t have the budget to film everything twice).”
Farah Khan also asked the mother-daughter duo about a recent viral video in which Samara Sahni appeared to be “sulking” while posing with Riddhima Kapoor and Neetu Singh. “The thing with Samara is,” Riddhima said, “whenever she appears before the camera, she tries to pull off the ‘blue steel look’. It looks like she is angry.” Correcting her mother, Samara said, “Guys, please, let a girl have a resting face. It’s not a problem.”
When Riddhima pointed out that she has a nice smile, Samara thanked her, adding, “Nonetheless, let’s normalise having a resting face.” Realising that there’s no winning this argument, Riddhima and Farah went ahead with getting the food ready. As soon as she got a moment away from them, Samara quickly approached Farah’s camera team, requesting them to show her what they had shot. Upon seeing this, Farah quipped, “Even I have never asked them to show me the visuals we shot.”

Upon seeing the monitor, she asked out loud, “Why is my hair so wet? My hair is dry now. Should we reshoot?” Finally, Farah Khan agreed to it. “Entry, take two, of the biggest star of the Kapoor khandan, Samara!” Soon after she made her reentry, Farah applauded but added that she wouldn’t reshoot the entire sequence.
“Samara, I can officially say that I have launched you. After Rakhi Sawant, Malaika Arora, Deepika Padukone, and Dilip, I have launched Ms Samara.” When Farah asked which surname she was planning to take, Kapoor or Sahni, Samara picked the latter. “I think that’s good. Samara Sahni has a nice ring to it,” Farah maintained.
