Rekha calls Alia Bhatt ‘beginning of the future legends’, dedicates award to the Brahmastra actor

In a clip, shared on Sony’s official social media account, Rekha is seen saying to the audience present in the auditorium, “I dedicate my award today to the future legends of our country and she is the beginning of them.” Reacting to this, Alia put her hand on her head and pretended to faint, trying to express her awe of the compliment she received.

It was from the same award night, when the video of Alia and Rekha meeting each other outside the venue, had gone viral. In the video, Alia and Rekha are seen arriving at the venue at the same time. Alia got off her car first and waited for Rekha to finish greeting others. She then quickly went and hugged the senior actor, seeking her blessings.

Kareena has been riding high on the success of her last theatrical release Brahmastra and digital release, Darlings. She also celebrated the Oscar win of the Telugu track Naatu Naatu, in which she did a cameo and played actor Ram Charan’s love interest.

Alia, who welcomed daughter Raha with husband Ranbir Kapoor in November 2022, will soon be making her Hollywood debut as well. Alia will be seen in the Hollywood film Heart of Stone, which also stars Gal Gadot. In Bollywood, her film Rocky Aur Rani is up for release in April.
