Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar look leaks online, fans draw comparison with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal: ‘Long Hair and buffed-up’
Ranveer Singh is currently shooting for Aditya Dhar's second directorial film Dhurandhar in Amritsar. The film will also star Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal.

With no updates from the makers of Don 3 and the shelving of Raakshas with Prashanth Varma, Ranveer Singh is currently shooting for the Aditya Dhar directorial Dhurandhar. Recently, a couple of pictures and videos of the actor in his new avatar from the sets of the film has surfaced online. Ranveer can be seen dressed in a suit with a neatly tied turban on his head in one of the pictures, in others the actor can be seen flaunting his long hair, with many drawing comparisons with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal look.

A Reddit user shared a photo of the actor in a brown suit and a pink turban. The user wrote, “Ranveer Singh on the sets of Dhurandhar.” Many of his fans took to the comment section to express their views. A fan wrote, “Ranveer always looks convincing whatever role he does.” Another user commented, “This is the film that will bring Ranveer back into the game and Don 3 will probably cement it.”

Similar pictures of the actor sporting long hair and looking bulked up also made it to the internet. A Reddit user shared a video of the actor from the sets, where he can be seen shooting for the film and walking with a cigarette in his hand. The caption read: “Leaks from Dhurandhar!! Looks great but kinda similar to Animal. Thoughts?”
This video too prompted many reactions from his fans who argued, “It is a spy thriller film from director of URI, here he is in disguise to catch someone, this is not his main look in the movie.” Another fan stated: “He was animal before Animal lol. He played Alauddin Khilji. Kuch bhi bol dete he log aaj kal.” Meanwhile, other agreed with the user and shared, “Sikh characters and Punjabi Setting. Standing outside car smoking a cigarette. Long Hair and Buffed Up Look. Gang Members all holding Assault Rifles. And there are still ppl saying it’s not copying Animal.”

Another picture of the actor standing amid cars aiming a gun at someone went viral on social media. The actor’s face is covered in the photo. The caption read: “Ranveer Singh on the sets of Dhurandhar”.
His fans expressed their desire to see Ranveer as an anti-hero, similar to his role in Padmaavat. A fan commented: “I hope it’s something similar to his character in Padmavaat. An anti-hero would be a perfect comeback role for Ranveer.”
The team is currently shooting in Amritsar. Dhurandhar, which is said to be a tentative name, marks the second film of URI director Aditya Dhar as a filmmaker. The film will also star actors Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal in important roles.
The film was announced back in July by Jio Studios. Sharing a black-and-white collage of the five actors along with the filmmaker, the makers wrote, “This is what movie dreams are made of! Helmed by#RanveerSingh, directed by #AdityaDhar, this much-anticipated collaboration between #JioStudios and #B62Studios is all set to dazzle you with a stellar cast like never before”.
This will mark the return of Ranveer Singh to the big screen in a lead role post Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023). The actor was recently seen in a cameo in Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer film Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role. Ranveer was previously seen in movies like 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Cirkus which failed to impress fans. Before Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Ranveer Singh delivered a hit with the 2019 film Gully Boy. Both the films featured Alia Bhatt in the lead.
