Ram Mukherjee prayer meet: Daughter Rani Mukerji has husband Aditya Chopra, daughter Adira by her side

A prayer meet or ‘shraddh’ was organised by Rani Mukerji in memory of her late father Ram Mukherjee.

Rani Mukerji’s father Ram Mukherjee passed away at his residence on October 22, 2017. While we saw everyone from the Bachchans to Kapoors and Khans earlier coming to pay tributes to the filmmaker, we got to see some more stars at a prayer meet or ‘shraddh’ organised by Rani in memory of her late father. The prayer ceremony for Ram Mukherjee took place at the ISKCON temple in Juhu. What came as a surprise was that Rani’s husband and Yash Raj Films conglomerate Aditya Chopra made a rare appearance in public. The couple’s daughter Adira Chopra was also captured.

Baby Adira, like her parents, is a lesser seen star kid and hence, when she came out in open, the little one grabbed all the attention. Others from Bollywood who came over were Rani’s cousin and actor Kajol, Anil Kapoor along with daughter Sonam Kapoor, filmmakers Farah Khan and Ashutosh Gowariker, among others.

Rani’s father Ram Mukherjee was a renowned filmmaker and screenwriter. There was a wave of sadness in the entire film fraternity on his demise who gave Bollywood movies like Hum Hindustani and Leader. Earlier, when the family had organised a prayer meet for him three days after his death, we saw Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Riteish Deshmukh, Kareena Kapoor and others by Rani’s side.

Rani immersed her father’s ashes at the Sangam in Allahabad and was accompanied by her husband Aditya Chopra, brother Raja Mukherjee and other family members. Rani’s father Ram Mukherjee passed away due to blood pressure complications.
