At the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Ranbir Kapoor shared heartfelt insights about his daughter Raha and her introduction to music. The first song he played for her was his grandfather Raj Kapoor's iconic track "Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe". Reflecting on the song's significance, Ranbir said, "If you hear the lyrics of the song, it is so simple, and it's definitely a great philosophy to live your life by." Ranbir Kapoor also emphasized the importance of environmental awareness and the role of artistes in promoting it. Speaking about his concerns for the future, especially as a father, he said, "I am a father, and I have to think of my child and what the world will be like for her after so many years. As people from cinema and as artistes, it is our moral responsibility to make films that entertain but also educate people but also.I think knowledge is such a large thing that we need to put out there." He added, "What can be done, what's going wrong, so many people don't even know what is right or wrong. On social media or you read a headline.it can be so misleading. I think awareness is very important and if I can create awareness for anything, not just to for the oceans, but to protect the planet I think it is our moral responsibility to do that." Ranbir Kapoor was in conversation with filmmaker Rahul Rawail at the event, which honoured Raj Kapoor ahead of his 100th birth anniversary on December 14. As part of the tribute, Ranbir announced the Raj Kapoor Film Festival, scheduled to take place from December 13 to 15 across India. "We are going to organise the Raj Kapoor Film Festival from December 13-December 15 all over India. We will show the restored version of 10 films of Raj Kapoor's films," Ranbir said. "I hope you guys come as well . I remember the first time I met Alia, she asked me 'Who's Kishore Kumar?' It's just a circle of life, people are forgotten. It's important we remember our roots," he added.
