Inside Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s Rs 250 cr Krishna Raj bungalow: Their six-storey home blending simplicity and sophistication nears completion, watch

As per multiple reports, the bungalow is finally nearing completion. After interior works that are likely to last one more month, the bungalow will be ready to move in. Alia and Ranbir are likely to shift into their new abode around Diwali, towards the end of October. This will also allow the couple to celebrate their daughter Raha Kapoor’s third birthday on November 8 at their new home.

The Krishna Raj Bungalow, named after Ranbir’s late paternal grandmother, has historic significance as it was the home of Krishna and her husband, Ranbir’s paternal grandfather and late legendary actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor. It was handed over to Raj’s son and Ranbir’s father, Rishi Kapoor, and his wife, Neetu Kapoor, in 1980. Now, the bungalow is most likely to be registered in the name of Raha, thus becoming Ranbir’s precious gift to his daughter.

Ranbir and Alia are currently residing at their flat at Vastu, a posh apartment situated in Bandra itself. It’s the home where the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony back in 2022. The proximity to their new home allowed Ranbir and Alia to visit the under-construction bungalow often and personally supervise the development. Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor was also seen doing the same on multiple occasions.

On the work front, Ranbir and Alia will reunite on screen four years after their 2022 supernatural drama, Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic drama Love & War, also starring Vicky Kaushal, which is slated to hit the screens next year. Bhansali holds a special spot in both their careers since Alia won her maiden National Award for his 2022 film Gangubai Kathiawadi. On the other hand, Ranbir started his career as an assistant director on Bhansali’s 2005 film Black and as a lead actor in his 2007 film Saawariya.

Besides Love & War, Ranbir will also be seen as Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part adaptation of the Indian epic, Ramayana. The first part is slated to release in cinemas during the occasion of Diwali next year. Meanwhile, Alia will next headline Shiv Rawail’s spy thriller Alpha, the next instalment in Aditya Chopra’s YRF Spy Universe after War 2. Alpha will hit the screens this Christmas on December 25.
