Ram Gopal Varma asked Sandeep Reddy Vanga if he can make a better film than Baahubali, here’s how he responded

Sandeep Reddy Vanga hesitated again and said that he would try, but Ram Gopal Varma scolded him again: “Sandeep, that is not correct. You can’t be diplomatic.” When Vanga finally gave in and said, “My immediate answer is a no,” RGV roasted him, saying, “Okay, he says no. So my next question is, can you make a better film than Baahubali?” The Animal director again said, “I’ll try,” after which the veteran filmmaker laughed and shook his hand. “No trying. It’s done! The answer has come. Superb,” he replied.

RGV went on to ask Vanga if his cult 1990 action film Shiva released on the same day as Arjun Reddy, whose film would do better at the box office. When Vanga chose Shiva, Varma again grilled him and claimed that he is trying to be modest and diplomatic. To give it back to him, Vanga asked RGV to make a great film again, so that the audience says “RGV is RGV,” and not even “RGV is back.”

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next, Spirit, is a Telugu film featuring Prabhas. On the other hand, Ram Gopal Varma’s last directorial was Vyuham, which released earlier this year.
