Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Stree 2 is in the theatres. While the film has opened to mixed reviews, several interviews of the actors are going viral on social media. In one of the promotional interviews, the two stars spoke about being replaced from films they have already signed. They confessed facing such situation twice in their lives. In an interview with Sushant Sinha, Rajkummar Rao opened up about being replaced in a film without being informed about the development. "I will not take names of the movies, but yes, I too have been replaced twice. "Once I had even received the contract from the makers to sign the film post Kai Po Che after several meetings with the director. Then they told me you have been replaced. Another time it happened that, almost everything was done including the look test and poster shoot and then I read it in a newspaper that I have been replaced. I was like 'wow'," he said. Shraddha Kapoor also added her experience and revealed she had even cut a cake along with the team after bagging a role in a film and then suddenly was told, "You are replaced." Watch Previously, in a conversation with Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao had spoken about being replaced by a star kid overnight. He said, "I was suposed to do a film, but then suddenly I was not in that film overnight. Somebody who is known and happened to be a star kid got that part. In my mind, I was like it was not fair. Just because you can control things, you know some people, you can make calls (it shouldn't be done)." On the work front, both the stars have reunited on screen for the sequel of their 2018 film Stree. The film marks Shraddha Kapoor's first and only release of the year. The actress was last seen in the film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. Meanwhile, for Rajkummar Rao, Stree 2 marks his third release of the year after Mr and Mrs Mahi and Srikanth, both of which released in May.
