Rajkummar Rao reacts to old video of Sonam Kapoor throwing shade at him by calling herself a senior actor

Rajkummar Rao and Sonam Kapoor's old interview from 2015 has garnered a lot of attention on the internet with people accusing Sonam of throwing shades at the actor.

Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao, whose film Bheed released today, opened up about the old video featuring him and Sonam Kapoor, which is doing rounds on the internet. Sonam received backlash for throwing shade at Rajkummar in the video.

When asked about the video, Rajkummar said in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, “It is a very old video. Sonam is one of the most kind-hearted girls and she has got such a big heart, not only for me, but for everyone. She is always out there to help people. She is a phenomenal girl and a dear friend and that video is also edited and it happened a long time ago. She was just putting her points across and I was putting my points across.”

In the video, which is from 2015, Sonam talked about how difficult it was for her to land a role in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film and her hardships in Bollywood. The actor was also heard saying, “Why do I have to start since I am a senior actor here.”

Rajkummar also spoke about his struggles in Bollywood and said, “A lot of people did not want to audition me for the lead part. Sometimes maybe for the looks. I don’t know what they felt, sometimes they did not even want to audition me for those parts.”
