Raj Kundra reacts to person claiming Shilpa Shetty joined Vrindavan padyatra to ‘wash image’ amid Rs 60-cr fraud case

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have been in the news over a Rs 60-crore fraud case filed against them.

Businessman Raj Kundra is back in news as he came forward to addressed a netizen’s claim that his actor-wife Shilpa Shetty recently participated in a padyatra to “fix her image.” The couple has been named in a Rs 60 crore fraud case and the case is being heard in the court. Raj took to his X (formally called Twitter) account to criticised the person for ‘some seek noise in trolling’.

The doting husband took to his social media to react on a post that shared photos of celebrities like Rajpal Yadav, Shilpa Shetty, Ekta Kapoor and Shikhar Dhawan and others who recently participated in a foot march led by Dhirendra Shastri.

A netizen shared pictures and wrote how each of them had an ongoing legal matters or past accusations and he suggested that their presence at the religious event appeared to be an attempt to seek public goodwill.

“Rajpal Yadav, Shilpa Shetty, and Ekta Kapoor joined Dhirendra Shastri on the foot march from Delhi to Vrindavan. Shilpa Shetty – She is accused of fraud exceeding 60 crore rupees from a businessman. Her husband makes porn movies!! Rajpal Yadav – He is mainly accused in cases related to check bounce and not repaying loans.”

The person added, “Celebrities who have cases against them are now taking refuge with babas. The main reason for this is the flood of devotees seen in support of Dhirendra Shastri in the Sanatan Hindu unity foot march, These people go to their followers and to wash away their sins. In the foot march, the devotion of these people is overshadowed by the variety of their cases.😀 Soon, all their sins will be dusted away through the baba.”

Reacting to the tweet, Raj wrote, “People who live in the darkness of assumptions will always shout the loudest. But here’s a simple truth allegations are not convictions, and headlines are not judgments. Some people seek peace in faith. Some seek noise in trolling. If standing for Sanatan, showing devotion, or supporting a spiritual cause bothers you so much, maybe the problem isn’t with us… it’s with the bitterness in your own heart. The law will take its course, truth will take its time, and trolls like you will keep taking screenshots for dopamine. Stay blessed. Waheguru 🙏🏻.”

Shilpa and Raj have been in the news over a Rs 60-crore fraud case filed against them filed by businessman Deepak Kothari, director of Lotus Capital Financial Services Ltd. As per his complaint, Shilpa and Raj allegedly took funds from him under the pretext of expanding their business but used the money for personal expenses instead.

The matter is being investigated by Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW). The couple’s lawyer has denied the reports.
