Sister-in-laws and actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt are a pleasure to listen to. One is refreshingly candid, and the other is quick-witted. When they sat down to have a conversation on the first episode of Mirchi Plus’ What Women Want Season 5, it was definitely a free-flowing one that went into interesting places.

Recently, Alia was in the news for revealing that she added Ranbir’s surname to her name. The revelation happened on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, and when Kareena asked about the name change, Alia quickly said, “It was like a gag.” Of course, it was in response to Sunil Grover’s act on the show, but this rapid clarification has cast a shadow of doubt over Alia adding the Kapoor surname to her name. However, without making things awkward, Alia said, “Ranbir is a Bhatt, and I am a Kapoor.”

Alia is currently enjoying the reception to Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, The film, which is co-produced by Karan Johar, is currently running successfully in theatres. The film was also at the centre of a controversy when Divya Khossla called out team Jigra for fudging box-office collections, and claimed that Jigra was a ‘copy’ of her film Savi, which was also a prison-break drama.
