Actor Priyamani has opened up about the moment she found out about getting a song in Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express. The actor said that when she was in Bangalore, she received an unexpected phone call from Rohit Shetty’s office. Initially, she thought it was a prank, prompting her to ask her manager to verify the authenticity of the call.

After confirmation, she was shocked that it was not a fake call and her excitement surged when she learned it was for a song in the movie Chennai Express, alongside none other than Shah Rukh Khan. Overwhelmed by the chance to meet SRK and fulfill a lifelong dream, she eagerly traveled to Mumbai for the meeting. In Rohit’s office, she was warmly welcomed, and the director explained the details of the song. Priyamani was seen in the song “One Two Three Four”, alongside Shah Rukh.

In an interview with Gulte, Priyamani said, “He (Shah Rukh Khan) was extremely sweet, very down to earth person. I mean, he’s the sweetest person alive. So, he came to me at one point because there were some particular steps which we had to repeat a couple of times. He said, ‘No, no darling, you go sit down, I will do it.’ I said, ‘No, sir, I’m okay. I love dancing, so I don’t mind dancing how many times you want me to dance. I can dance, no issues at all.’ Those were the best five nights of my life.”

Priyamani also praised SRK’s hard work and dedication. She said, “For us, once you finish work at two in the morning or six in the morning, you want to go back and sleep. But this man, after shoot, after pack up, he takes one of the assistants, they go to the sets or maybe his room and they practice.”
