Pooja Bhatt has declared that she is not looking for any matchmakers to find her a life partner. Recently seen in the Amazon Prime Video series Big Girls Don’t Cry, Pooja opened up about how every now and then, she is asked to tie the knot.
“I’m often asked, ‘Why are you not married, why are you single. You’re doing so well for yourself. You’re an attractive woman. Come on, we have to make you meet somebody,” Pooja told Hindustan Times in an interview.
Pooja asserted that finding a companion would be the “greatest gift,” but she doesn’t particularly need a life partner. She said, “If I find a companion, that would be the greatest gift. If I don’t, that’s okay because I am grateful for my life. I have my family. I got great wealth through my friendships. I have my dad. I have my work. Life is beautiful. I’m not incomplete because I’m single.”
Pooja, in her 33 year-long career as an actor, filmmaker and film producer, has always been open about her relationships. During her Bigg Boss OTT 2 stint, she had opened up about her marriage to Mumbai-based restaurateur Manish Makhija followed by their divorce in 2014, 11 years after they tied the knot. She was then linked with actor Ranvir Shorey.
