Perception of fitness has changed in Bollywood: Rahul Dev
"I definitely think that the perception for fitness has changed in Bollywood," Rahul Dev said.

Model-turned-actor Rahul Dev, also known for his impeccable physique and fitness, believes that the perception of fitness in Bollywood has changed over the years.
Asked about the fittest actors in Bollywood, Rahul mentioned Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez.
“I definitely think that the perception for fitness has changed in Bollywood. Young actors like Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez are extremely fit. They can spread awareness about fitness among the youth,” Rahul told IANS at the launch of his gym Breathe here on Tuesday.
The 46-year-old also considers Akshay Kumar his “hero” for his enviable fitness.
“My hero is Akshay Kumar. He is extremely fit. At his age, he can do stunts which even Tiger Shroff may find hard to pull off,” Rahul added.

“People have to learn how to manage their own body weight in gyms. They generally go to gyms because they are aspirational but they want to take short-cuts.
“Milk is excellent for our body, but unless you are not utilizing it for our exercises, it is not worth anything,” said the “Champion” actor, who was in Morocco to shoot scenes for Sajid Nadiadwala’s action adventure film “Dishoom”.
Rahul will soon be seen in Punjabi film “Ramta Jogi”.
Rahul Dev launches gym chain in Faridabad
Model-turned-actor Rahul Dev on Tuesday launched his gymnasium chain Breathe here.
The brand, which is already present in the capital, has now stepped into the five-star hotel arena at the Park Plaza. With this gym, Rahul aims to spread awareness about health and fitness in the city.
It was jointly launched by Rahul and actor Milind Soman.
“Suniel Shetty was instrumental in the opening of Breathe. I am extremely passionate about fitness. I am hoping that if we give only 40 minutes to our body every day, we can work wonders for our fitness.
“We often succumb to our food cravings, but it is necessary to have a good diet. We hope that all residents of Faridabad visit us and work with us to build their fitness,” Rahul said during the launch of Breathe.
Highlighting the negative effects of over-reliance on technology, he said that it is crucial to take out time for fitness from one’s busy schedule.
“Take a walk in the park. It is not necessary to just go to a gym to stay fit. We need to embrace fitness. We only have to blame ourselves for our lack of fitness.”
“Breathe is not just a gym where you can work out and build muscles, but it is a place where you can build your overall fitness and incorporate it in our lifestyle,” he added.
With state-of-the art infrastructure and modern equipment, Breathe aims to become a new hub of training and fitness in the city and Park Plaza would be offering trial memberships as a part of the promotional campaign along with yoga, zumba and kickboxing classes.
