Mission Impossible 7 box office collection Day 7: Tom Cruise-starrer puts up good hold on Tuesday, passes Rs 70 crore mark
Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One is on its way to becoming the franchise's biggest film in India, toppling the 6th installment’s lifetime collection of around Rs 80 crores nett.

The seventh instalment of the Mission: Impossible franchise witnessed a drop in collections on its first Tuesday, but the Tom Cruise-starrer still managed to put up a “good hold” in comparison to its Monday collection. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, helmed by Christopher McQuarrie, released last Wednesday and had a solid five-day extended weekend of Rs 63 cr.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the estimated Tuesday collection of the actioner is Rs 4.35 cr, after its first Monday of Rs 5 cr. The fall in collections is “decent,” according to the tracker, and Dead Reckoning Part One’s running haul in India now stands at Rs 72.85 cr nett in seven days.
The film is well on its way to becoming the biggest Mission Impossible film in India, toppling the 6th installment’s lifetime collection of around Rs 80 crore nett. Dead Reckoning Part One’s extended week is expected to be in the range of Rs 80 crores nett. With this, the film will also emerge as Tom Cruise’s biggest hit in the country.
Dead Reckoning Part One is also poised to become the second Hollywood film this year to cross the Rs 100 cr mark in India, after Fast X, which ended its lifetime run with Rs 108 cr. This strong performance comes in a year when several Hindi movies either straight up tanked or were underperformers at the box office. Other Hollywood films to emerge successful in India this year are John Wick: Chapter 4, Guardians of the Galaxy. Vol 3 and Evil Dead Rise.
Globally, though the film had earned a fantastic $235 million in five days–billed as one of the best global openings of the year–it fell short of industry expectations. According to a report in AP, the film launched with franchise-best $80 million over five days in the US, with $56.2 million coming in in its first three days– a number shy of the previous installment, Fallout, which opened with $61 million domestically. But the movie is said to have cost $300 million.
Dead Reckoning Part One has a clear 9-day run, but the film will face competition this Friday when two other Hollywood films– Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie — are released on the same day.
