Mika Singh is one of the most renowned singers in the Punjabi and Hindi film industries. However, even during his early days in the film industry, the singer carried the attitude of a winner. In a recent interaction, the “Long Drive” singer shared a humorous anecdote about how he once mistakenly took a limousine booked for Aamir Khan, assuming it was meant for him. To add to the mix-up, he also occupied a hotel suite reserved for Aamir while on a world tour with Bollywood actors.

Speaking on the YouTube channel Kadak, Mika said, “I was offered a world tour in 1999, which also included Aishwarya Rai, Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Twinkle Khanna. I was new to the film industry at the time. During the tour, I got the chance to travel with Aamir. I didn’t have much knowledge back then. While we were touring in the USA, I stepped out of the airport and saw a limousine parked outside.”

Mika recalled that Sunidhi Chauhan and her father were with him at the time, and Sunidhi, being new to the industry, was quite nervous. “I didn’t know much about Bollywood then,” he continued. “I just asked Sunidhi and her father to get into the limousine with me, and we drove to the hotel. It turned out that the car was actually meant for Aamir Khan.”

The confusion didn’t stop there. At the hotel, two rooms had been booked under Aamir’s name, and Mika took the keys to the suite and made himself comfortable. “Aamir is very sweet,” Mika said, recalling the incident fondly. “After some time, Aamir came and knocked on the door. When I opened it, he asked if it was my room. I confidently said, ‘Yes.’ He didn’t make a fuss—he just went to the other room and stayed there. Aamir was so humble about the whole situation.”

Mika Singh is one of the most popular singers and rappers in the Hindi film industry, with a long list of hit songs to his name. His iconic tracks include “Bas Ek King” (Singh Is Kinng), “Mauja Hi Mauja” (Jab We Met), “Ibn-e-Batuta” (Ishqiya), “Dhanno” (Housefull), “Dhinka Chika” (Ready), and “Chinta Ta Chita” (Rowdy Rathore).
