Manoj Bajpayee says daughter Ava ‘scolds’ him when he asks her to speak in Hindi, reveals her reaction to The Archies: ‘What is your problem, dad?’

Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, an Indian film adaptation of the evergreen Archie comics, was released on Netflix. It became the launchpad for Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. The film also starred Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Dot.

The actor further shared that he “never wanted to watch The Archies” but watched it because of Ava. He still wants to watch it after reading all Archies comics. However, while watching the film, the actor, who has been trying hard to make his daughter speak in Hindi told her, “See, these people are also talking in Hindi, you will also have to speak in Hindi.” But he got a reply back from his daughter, “She goes, ‘What is your problem, dad? Please let me watch the film.'”

Rather, Bajpayee got scolded by Ava for not watching the film and not spending enough family time. She told the actor, “You are not giving family time, papa.” The Joram star noted, “Every time I start scolding her, she scolds me in return.”

Manoj Bajpayee had earlier shared how Ava’s Hindi teacher was disappointed on her not knowing the language despite being his daughter. The actor is known for playing characters from the Hindi heartland in his movies and his Hindi diction is often appreciated. He hails from the state of Bihar, and his married to Shabana Raza.
