Actor Madhoo, who made her Bollywood debut with the film Phool Aur Kaante, has revealed the reason behind her decision to distance herself from Bollywood after leaving the industry. She expressed regret over her decision and mentioned that she has now reconnected with her female friends but has not been in a good space with her male friends from the industry. In an interview with Radio Nasha Official, Madhoo said, “I was out of touch with them for 10-12 years because when I decided to exit the film industry, I decided that I didn’t want any contact with the industry guys. I don’t know why. I am not proud of that decision. I was like, ‘I am done. I need to get out of the industry,’ and that’s how I exited and so I was not in touch.” She added, “But today, all of them are back in my zone. I just partied with Raveena and Shilpa. We get together at functions and events. We are all grown up, we are all married and we all have children. I am not in a good space with my heroes.” Madhoo said that after quitting acting, she got busy with her personal life. However, the actor mentioned that after five years, she realised that she was not a homemaker. The Roja actor recently made a comeback portraying the character of Menaka in the movie Shaakuntalam, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role.
