Krushna Abhishek wears shoes worth Rs 5 lakh, recalls stealing uncle Govinda’s clothes: ‘He never found out until…’

Krushna Abhishek recalled stealing his uncle Govinda's clothes when he was younger. He shared that he was never caught until he wore a shirt that was a part of his ongoing shoot.

Govinda recently appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show where Krushna is a cast member.

Krushna Abhishek and his uncle, 90s movie star Govinda, had a long standing rift that unfolded in the public eye. Now, after almost seven years, the two made amends as Govinda appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show, and performed with his nephew. Previously, when Govinda appeared on Kapil’s show, Krushna had to excuse himself and he wasn’t a part of the episode. As Govinda and Krushna patched up, Archana Puran Singh shared a vlog with the BTS footage of the episode.

Krushna, in Archana’s video that his “saat saal ka vanvaas (seven years of exile)” was getting over now as he was getting a chance to perform with his uncle Govinda. He recalled that the last time he performed in front of his uncle was almost a decade ago, on Sony’s Comedy Circus. Govinda also appeared in Archana’s vlog. This was his first appearance on a show after the recent incident where the actor shot himself in the leg in a freak accident as he rehearsed for his bit on the show.

Talking about his “Bharat milaap” with Chichi mama (Govinda), Krushna shared, “Aisa milap hua hai, maza hi aa gaya (I enjoyed this reunion). I had a lot of fun. I think it was one of the best moments. We were together. Aaj unhone bhi act ke beech mein meri class li. Par voh meri class le sakte hain, kyunki voh mere mama hain. Voh kuch bhi kar sakte hain. (During the act, he took my case. But it’s okay. He can do so because he is my uncle.) He didn’t let me finish today, but I was going to tell him that I have stolen so many things from him, and he doesn’t even know about them.”

Krushna recalled that Govinda would sometimes give away his clothes to him but on the rare occasion when he did not do so, Krushna would steal his clothes. “I have a collection of his clothes, the ones that he has worn in his songs. The ones that he did not lend upon asking, I would steal them. He had so many clothes, how would he get to know? At night, I would open his cupboard and take his shirt. And after stealing that, I would wear it confidently in front of him. And he would never find out that those were his shirts,” he said.

Krushna recalled that he was once caught because he wore a shirt that Govinda was wearing in one his films, and there were some shots left with that shirt. “Once he caught me and he asked ‘where did you get this shirt from?’ I said ‘you gave it to me’. He said ‘that’s not possible’. His spot boy came in just then and said that sir has to wear this, this is stuck in a continuity. That day I was caught,” he recalled with a laugh. Krushna then shared that he is now in a different place as he showed off his Dolce & Gabbana shoes worth Rs 5 lakh.

Krushna and Govinda’s feud lasted many years after Krushna’s wife Kashmera Shah made a comment about Govinda’s wife Sunita. The matter escalated as both parties kept making nasty comments about each other for years.
