Kiran Rao is not ready to promote Indie films

Kiran Rao,who recently promoted and released Indie film Ship of Theseus,is being hounded with offers by small-time filmmakers for promoting their films. While the movie has received rave reviews from not just critics but also the audiences despite not having a popular starcast,making an Indie film so popular in itself is a task that Kiran seems to have achieved successfully.

Hence,Kiran today is considered as a producer who can increase the popularity of Indie films. While this producer is honored to have received this appreciation,she believes that promoting these frequently can be quite time consuming. She says,”I don’t want to promote films and it’s not an ambition of my life as such. But if a lovely film like Ship of Theseus comes to me,I would want the audiences to know about it and watch it. As far as other films are concerned,let’s see.”
