Kiran Rao is all heart as paparazzo calls Aamir Khan ‘cutie’: ‘This man is 58, still looks…’
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, now separated, continue to share a great bond with each other. Kiran recently reacted with a heart and thumbs-up emoji on a post that called Aamir ‘cutie’

Kiran Rao’s directorial Laapataa Ladies has been making headlines for all the right reasons. Aamir Khan sporting quirky ‘Laapataa’ T-shirt — extending his unwavering support to ex-wife and the film — has been grabbing eyeballs of the media and paparazzi. Recently, when the actor-producer wore a T-shirt that read, ‘mostly Laapataa,’ it made Kiran go ‘aww’, too.
A paparazzo account jokingly commented on Aamir’s youthful appearance. ‘This Man is 58 Years old! Still looks cutieee! Agree or not?,” the handle captioned the video. Kiran re-shared the video on her Instagram Story, playfully agreeing with a heart emoji and thumbs-up.
Backed by Aamir Khan Productions Pvt Ltd, Laapataa Ladies has been receiving Aamir’s continuous support and both his T-shirts and presence at promotions are a proof. While the T-shirt’s quote, echoes with the film’s title which translates to “mostly missing,” it also resonates with the actor’s personality.
Despite their divorce in 2021, Aamir and Kiran continue to share a strong bond of friendship and support. Their interactions are consistently marked by affection and respect, as seen by Kiran’s recent heartwarming Instagram story praising Aamir’s appearance.
Kiran and Aamir’s relationship began with her working as an assistant director on Lagaan in 2001. They married in 2005 and welcomed their son Azad Rao Khan through surrogacy in 2011. In 2021, their paths diverged as they announced their separation via a joint statement.
Recently, the Dangal actor Aamir opened up about a conversation he had with Kiran following their divorce. He revealed asking for her feedback on his shortcomings as a husband. “Kya kami this mujh mein?” he asked. The Dhobi Ghat director, in response, provided him with a list of 15-20 points for improvement, including his talkativeness and tendency to dominate conversations.
Produced jointly by Aamir, Kiran and Jyoti Deshpande, the film stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan and Chhaya Kadam in pivotal roles. Laapataa Ladies will release in theatres on March 1.
