Karisma Kapoor took ‘for granted’ that she’d be cast in Andaaz, producer says she didn’t hold a grudge after Priyanka Chopra was chosen

He said, “Karisma didn’t need to call me ever, she took things for granted. My relationship with the Kapoors was so unique. Even Babita, Suneel said, was sure that he’d cast Karisma in Andaaz. Asked how he broke the news to them, Suneel smiled wryly and said, “I… They got to know.” He continued, “But I’ll tell you a beautiful thing. They never held a grudge. Karisma was the chief guest at one function for the film, and Bebo was the chief guest for another.” In the same interview, Suneel also revealed that Rani Mukerji wanted the role as well.
