Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, currently enjoying the success of her film Crew, treated her fans to a dose of nostalgia in her latest social media post. Taking to her Instagram account, Kareena shared an ad featuring for a travel company. In the ad, Kareena reprises her iconic role as Geet, from the film Jab We Met. Jab We Met also starred Shahid Kapoor in the lead role, and was helmed by Imtiaz Ali.

The ad recreated a scene from the film in which Geet and Shahid’s character, Aditya, were stranded in Ratlam after missing their train. Geet was seen bargaining in the scene, and Kareena recreated the same moment in the ad, albeit without Shahid; a girl played his part instead. Jab We Met was released in 2007 and the film also starred Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon and Pavan Malhotra, among others.

Sharing the ad, Kareena wrote in the caption, “The OG traveller is back! Complete the sentence: Geet is such a travel inspiration that…” Reacting to the prompt, one fan wrote, “Even you can’t recreate what you did in 2007. Jab we met was pure magic.” Another said, “Omggggg I thought it’s her jab we met movie scene.”

Kareena had opened up about the character Geet on No Filter Neha Season 6. She said, “Jab We Met completed 16 years in the cinema. I think Geet will always be special to everyone because you have never really seen a character who is so honest ,soo loving ,a girl who wants to chase her dreams. She is evergreen for generations and all times and Geet will always be in me.”
