The first episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 featured Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar as guests, along with Vedang Raina and filmmaker Vasan Bala, who all recently joined forces for the action thriller Jigra which will hit the screens soon. Throughout the episode, both Alia and Karan delighted the audience by sharing amusing anecdotes about their kids and how they spend time with them. During the interaction, Karan admitted that his children, Yash and Roohi, are his biggest critics and revealed how they don’t quite understand his profession.

The director-producer recounted how he makes up bedtime stories for his twins about animals saving kids, as they love animals. Archana Puran Singh chimed in to ask the filmmaker about the Instagram videos where his twins are often seen poking fun at his outfits. Responding with a laugh, Karan said, “My kids are my biggest trolls. So why should I fear anyone else when I have such kids?” He added, “They’re always asking me, ‘What are you wearing?’ or ‘Why is your hair like that?’ They even ask, ‘Why are you wearing makeup?’ whenever I get ready for shoots.”

Karan explained that he had to teach his children about his need for makeup when appearing on camera, but admitted that his twins still get confused when they see his stylist bring in a mountain of clothes for him. “They don’t really know what I do,” Karan revealed. “I’ve told them I’m a director, but they wonder why a director, who usually stays behind the camera, appears on television so often. So, now they think I might be an actor. One day, someone asked them about my job, and they said, ‘We’re very confused. We don’t know.’”
