Kangana Ranaut visits Somnath, Dwarka temples to calm her ‘restless mind’, calls the holy city ‘intoxicating’

Kangana Ranaut, who was last seen in Tejas, is on a spree of visiting temples. After visiting Dwarkadeesh temple on Thursday, Kangana visited Somnath temple on Friday. The actor shared photos from her visit on her social media handles and shared long captions in Hindi thanking the temple authorities.

Visiting Somnath, the actor also wrote about the mythological significance of the place in her caption. She shared photos from the temple premises.

As she shared photos from her visit to Dwarka on Thursday, Kangana shared that her mind had been “restless” for a few days and after visiting Dwarkadheesh temple, she felt a certain sense of peace. Sharing a video from her boat ride in Dwarka, she wrote, “Floating over the submerged ancient city of Dwarika, why is this place so intoxicating.”

Just a few days ago, Kangana took to social media to request her followers to watch Tejas in theatres. The actor suggested that community viewing is a part of our culture, and it had gotten badly affected since the pandemic. She suggested that many single screen theatres had been struggling and requested her followers to watch her film in a theatre. This year, films like Pathaan, Jawan and Gadar 2 have done excellent business in the theatres and have made upwards of Rs 500 crore in the domestic market.

Kangana was recently seen in the Tamil film Chandramukhi 2 which did respectable business in the Tamil market but failed to bring in any Hindi audience, even though that is Kangana’s core audience. The actor hasn’t had a success in the theatres since her 2019 film Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi. Her films Judgementall Hai Kya, Panga, Thalaivii and Dhaakad, have all failed at the box office.

Kangana will next be seen in Emergency, where she is playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She is also directing the film. The film was previously scheduled to release in November 2023, but has now been postponed to 2024.
