Kangana Ranaut reveals she grew up in a joint family: ‘My mumma never owned even a lipstick…’
Kangana Ranaut recently took to her social media to share a throwback photo featuring her paternal aunt. The actor also revealed some trivia about her childhood.

Kangana Ranaut recently took to social media to share a throwback photo of her chachi (aunt from her paternal side). In the image, her aunt looks lovely as she is dressed up to the nines as a new bride would be.
While sharing the image, the actor also disclosed some trivia about her early childhood days.

Stating that she grew up in a joint family, the actor mentioned in her Instagram story, “My mumma never owned even a lipstick; joy of growing up in a joint family was as a child I spent all my time on my chachi’s dresser, messing her eye shadows, lipsticks and breaking her nail paints. She is the most patient, kind and gentle woman ever, love chachi.”
The actor often takes to her social media to share glimpses of her personal and professional life, whilst giving her take on topical issues. Recently, Kangana had disclosed that she considered superstar Aamir Khan her best friend before Hrithik Roshan filed a legal case against her.
Kangana wrote, “Actually mujhe bhi kabhi kabhi voh din yaad aate hain jab Aamir sir was my best friend… jaane kahan gaye voh din (Sometimes I think of the days when Aamir sir was my best friend. Wonder where those days went.) One thing is for sure he has mentored me appreciated me and shaped a lot of my choices, before Hrithik did that legal case on me post that they made their loyalties clear, it was one woman against entire industry.”
On the work front, Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Dhaakad, which tanked at the box office. She is now looking forward to the release of political drama Emergency, wherein she will be seen playing the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The actor has also directed the feature.
