Kajol says she ‘definitely’ doesn’t believe in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’s ‘pyar ek baar hota hai’ dialogue; shares how it feels to marry an actor

Kajol shared her thoughts about love and marriage during her recent appearance on Koffee With Karan.

The latest episode of Koffee With Karan had the leading ladies of the hit 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kajol and Rani Mukerji gracing the ‘Koffee couch’. During the episode, the film’s director and the show’s host, Karan Johar and the two actors spoke at length about the time they spent on the sets of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Meanwhile, Kajol also shared her thoughts about love and marriage, the two central themes of the film, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan.

During the rapid-fire round of the show, Karan asked Kajol if she believes in the film’s popular dialogue, “Pyaar ek baar hota hai, shaadi bhi ek baar hoti hai (You fall in love only once and you get married once).” She replied, “‘Bilkul nahi. I definitely don’t believe it.”

Later, Kajol also shared what it feels to be married to Ajay Devgn, an actor who has been working in the film industry since 1991. She said in order to be together, the two have to coordinate the days they can spend together. She said, “We have to match our dates.”

Ajay Devgn and Kajol tied the knot in 1999 after dating each other for a few years. The actors are parents to 20-year-old daughter Nysa and son Yug.

In an earlier interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Ajay said that love isn’t the only contributing factor in a long and happy marriage, and shared how his marriage has sustained. The actor shared, “It’s sustaining very well. Though there are ups and downs in every marriage, disagreements. But you have to manage those disagreements… Two minds can’t be alike but then we discuss and that how it works.”
