Kajol says daughter Nysa handles paparazzi with more grace, dignity than her: ‘Mera chappal nikal chuka hota’

However, Kajol expressed her admiration for Nysa’s growth in handling such situations with grace and dignity. She added, “She is better now with these situations and she is handling it very well. She is handling it with a lot more grace and dignity than I would have. If I was in her place, toh mera chappal bahut pehle nikal chuka hota.”

Reflecting on her relationship with her own mother, Tanuja, Kajol highlighted her hands-off parenting approach. She said, “My mother has always been on my side. When you have that kind of person around you and bringing you up and she has this immense faith in me. Meri maa ne mujhe bachpan se bola hai, ki main peeche hu, main khadi hu, girna hai toh main hath deke utha loongi lekin girna hoga tumhe hi, woh zakham bhi tumhe hi sehna hoga, dard bhi tumhe hi sehna hoga toh uss hisab se girna (Since childhood my mother has told me that she is standing behind us in whatever we do but we will have to take the brunt of our decisions so we better take the right decisions).”

The Trial: Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhokha marks Kajol’s first web series. It is an Indian adaptation of the acclaimed American show The Good Wife. It will release on Hotstar on July 14.
