Riding high on the praises, he has been getting for the portrayal of Laayak Tungekar in the recently released 'Badlapur', Nawazuddin Siddiqui is up and about the kind of roles he does in the commercial cinema. Nawaz, as he is fondly called by his peers and fans, isn't scared of getting typecast as he says, "Only heroes get stereotyped. As they do the same kind of roles again and again. I am doing characters that have so many layers. And I am very lucky that I show a lot of variety." There are no heroes and villains, there are just characters and that's how it should be." Nawaz is often compared with Irrfan Khan, as far as the acting chops are concerned. But the talented actor holds a different opinion on this. "It gets a bit irritating. He is a very senior actor and I respect him a lot. But I don't feel good when comparison happens. Each individual is different. By comparing, people are only insulting both is us. Neither are they understanding his craft, nor mine," says Nawaz. Earlier too, Irrfan has avoided any questions on comparisons with Nawaz.
