Irrfan Khan has thanked director Shoojit Sircar for for bringing him, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone on one platform in ‘Piku’.

The ‘Paan Singh Tomar’ star took to twitter to share his excitement about the upcoming film.

“Thank you @ShoojitSircar for bringing all of us together @SrBachchan, @deepikapadukone in this delightful story by Juhi (Chaturvedi),” Irrfan tweeted along with a picture.

In the film, which is currently in its second shooting schedule in Kolkata, Irrfan, 47, is reportedly playing a taxi stand owner.

The film explores the father and daughter relationship between Bachchan’s and Padukone’s characters. It is scheduled for release on April 30, 2015.
