Ira Kha, the daughter of Aamir Khan, likes to stay away from the spotlight. Ira rarely appears at social events, which is why her presence at the inauguration of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in 2023 grabbed attention. The star kid attended the event with her father, but was brutally trolled for her outfit at the event. Now over a year later, Ira revealed the true story behind her casual avatar at the event. Ira shared she had no idea it was going to be a fancy event. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Ira said, "I had no idea that Nick Jonas was going to be there. My father doesn't communicate well when it comes to event invites. He just calls and says, 'Hey, we have to go for this. Come.' He doesn't tell me about the dress code. He doesn't tell you any of these things so I show up in the best dress I can take. Then I get trolled on Instagram for not dressing appropriately. I had no idea that we were going for such a fancy event. I didn't know what we were going for. I reached there and I was like, 'Oh my God!'" said an embarrassed Ira. Ira Khan said she doesn't trouble people for pictures, but she took one with Nick Jonas because her childhood friend wanted to marry him. She said, "I went up to him and said, 'Hey, I don't do this. I don't go up to people and ask for photo because I know how irritating it is, but literally my best friend was supposed to marry you so I have to take this photo for the five-year-old us." She added how she even asked him stupid questions after clicking a photo with him. "Then I went on to ask him stupid questions like, 'How did you like the weather here?' It was baseless because he had been here several times," said Ira. Back in 2023 when Ira Khan shared her photo with Nick Jonas, netizens flooded her Instagram post with comments like: "She needs a better stylist ASAP," "Dressed very bad," among others. NMACC inauguration was one of the biggest events in India. The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of personalities from around the world. Celebrities like Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, Penelope Cruz, Tom Holland-Zendaya and Gigi Hadid, among others attended the grand event.
