Imran Khan, who recently admitted to dating Lekha Washington, recalled a time when he just had three plates at his home. Imran shared this one time he and Lekha had another couple comer over to their house but realized soon they did not have enough plates for the guests.

Imran, who appeared on comedian Raunaq Rajani’s YouTube channel, said, “This one time, Lekha and I had another couple over and I only had three plates, true story,” he chuckled. Imran added, “So the couple got 1 plate each and we shared one plate. It’s romantic. I had to adjust these ways time to time. ‘Sorry I don’t have glasses, we will just share.'”

To this Raunaq said how it is a sign of the actor’s privileged background and wealth that he is able to make minimalist lifestyle choices.

Raunaq said, “The thing is Imran, because you are successful, people know you are rich and that you are doing this because it is a lifestyle choice but most people can’t call a friend and say, ‘Mere paas plate nahi hai'”

Imran agreed with Raunaq and said, “This is actually true and I guess this is one of the injustices of the society. If you are financially well off, you get to be eccentric. If you are not, then you are mad. Then you are just weird.”

Previously, in an interview with Vogue, Imran Khan had spoke about adopting a simple lifestyle since 2016. The actor said that he has not only been cutting his own hair, but has also been wearing the same pair of Ray Bans for the past decade. The Katti Batti actor even revealed that he replaced his cherry-red Ferrari with a Volkswagen and moved away from his plush Pali Hill bungalow to a flat in Bandra. The I Hate Love Story star had also shared then that he owns only three plates, three forks, two coffee mugs and one frying pan.
