Hrithik Roshan’s first portfolio was ‘shot on the terrace under a tiny shade’, recalls Dabboo Ratnani

Celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani is known for shooting with the most popular Bollywood celebrities for his annual celebrity calendar. During a recent AMA on Reddit, Dabboo recalled an interesting anecdote from Hrithik Roshan’s early days. When a Redditor asked Dabboo if he had ever cancelled a shoot because of “weather or when it just wasn’t working”, the photographer recalled how there was “zero fuss” from Hrithik’s side when it started raining unexpectedly during his first shoot.

He shared, “During Hrithik’s first ever shoot (his portfolio), it started pouring unexpectedly… We still managed to shoot on the terrace under a tiny shade & got fantastic results… He didn’t mind getting soaked… There was zero fuss… He is as amazing even till today. Love his enthusiasm & professionalism.”

Dabboo Ratnani recalled another anecdote from his 2007 calendar, also with Hrithik Roshan, where he had to “deal with a shoot that was particularly fun or challenging.” The photographer shared, “There was a shot with Hrithik where he was reading a newspaper and fall in a pool while he was doing that. Very interesting and challenging. It was for my 2007 calendar.”

When asked about his favourite celebrity to shoot with, Dabboo said, “There are so many to choose from… But on the top of my mind, Hrithik pops up… He is truly fantastic & creative with photoshoots.”

Hrithik Roshan made his debut in the 2000 film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai with Ameesha Patel. The actor became a star soon after the release of his debut film. He was last seen in Vikram Vedha. Hrithik is now looking forward to the release of The Fighter.
