Actor Shruti Sharma, who plays a pivotal role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, has opened up about the intimate scene between her and Rajat Kaul aka Iqbal (Mallikajaan’s driver). Shruti said that the scene was shot for a whole day and after the filming, she had rashes on her body. The actor, who plays Sharmin Segal’s maid on the show, revealed that she had done that sort of romantic scene for the first time.

In an interview with Entertainment Live, Shruti said, “There is a scene involving me and Iqbal in which we are romantic, meaning its a very romantic scene. That type of romance I had done for the first time on the screen. We were rolling and we were talking, and you know it was difficult choreography, we were on top of each other.”

For the unversed, in the scene, Shruti and Rajat meet secretly for a clandestine affair. While Rajat appears tense, Shruti attempts to seduce him subtly. The setting is a horse shed, and the two engage in romance on a bed of hay. Previously in an interview with Pinkvilla, the actor had said,  “If Sanjay sir has decided something, he is wise enough to choose his actors. I’m sure it is quite well thought out. You can’t question his vision. He has given history to Indian cinema. It is Sanjay Sir that we’re talking about.”

Heeramandi  is currently streaming on Netflix. The show stars Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha , Sanjeeda Sheikh, Shekhar Suman, Adyayan Suman and Richa Chaddha in pivotal roles.
