Actor Harman Baweja has had a resounding comeback and he wants everyone, including the naysayers, to know. The actor, who quit the industry after the failure of his 2014 film Dishkiyaoon, is currently seen in Scoop as ACP Shroff. Harman has emerged as one of the breakout performances of the Netflix series.

In a new sketch uploaded by the streamer titled ‘Harman Baweja gets his revenge’, the actor is seen joking about the harsh media articles written against him and the constant comparison with superstar Hrithik Roshan.

“Oh God! Please. Let me silence my Hrithiks. I mean critics,” the video opens with the actor, who made his acting debut with the 2008 film Love Story 2050. “I thought I knew what the future would be, but I was wrong. But I was not the only one. Even they were wrong,” the actor says, pointing to the headlines ‘Harma Be-Waja’ and ‘The Future Doesn’t Look Roshan For Him’. The actor then says, “You know what I call my haters? Critic Roshans.”

As the sketch proceeds, Harma takes further dig at himself. “I am looking to start my second innings in acting, No no, I am not talking about the sequel of Victory,” he says, referring to the 2009 cricket drama starring him which had bombed at the box office.

“I am talking about Scoop! I need your blessings today, for better reviews,” as a diya is shown in the frame, with the voiceover  saying ‘dhoop’, imitating the alien from Hrithik’s Koi Mil Gaya. The actor then reads reviews, where people praise his performance as ACP Shroff, but no one is able to recognize him, with many calling him a debutant actor.

“How can you not recognize me? I look the same, I mean, a little bit different, but not so different.” The actor then calls his PR and asks her to ensure that people know it’s him who has played the part in Scoop, otherwise she will get her payment in 2050, a dig at his debut film opposite Priyanka Chopra.

Inspired by Jigna Vora’s biographical book Behind The Bars In Byculla: My Days in Prison, Scoop is created by Hansal Mehta and Thappad co-writer Mrunmayee Lagoo. The series is headlined by Karishma Tanna, starring as Jagruti Pathak, an ambitious crime journalist, who becomes a murder suspect.
