‘Govinda is doing first class, will be discharged on Friday,’ says wife Sunita Ahuja

Bollywood actor Govinda, who recently sustained a gunshot injury, is recovering well and is set to be discharged on Friday, his wife Sunita Ahuja revealed. Sunita spoke to the media during her visit to see Govinda at Criticare Hospital in Mumbai and shared that the Hero No 1 actor will meet the media on Friday as he heads home from the hospital.

Speaking to the paparazzi outside the hospital, Sunita said that Govinda is “better”. She added, “Sir ek dum first class hain (He is doing very well). He will be discharged tomorrow at noon.” Expressing her gratitude to the actor’s well-wishers for their prayers, she said, “I would like to thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. It is because of your blessings that he recovered so quickly. I am so happy that the news of his discharge came on the first day of Navaratri. I just came after doing pooja for him. Thanks to God, he is much better now.”

Sunita Ahuja also confirmed that Govinda will meet the media outside the hospital after he gets discharged. “He will come and meet you all tomorrow after getting discharged,” she concluded.

Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg on Tuesday. Following emergency surgery, the actor was declared out of danger, and he shared a voice message reassuring his fans of his well-being. He said, “Namaste, pranam. I am Govinda. Due to your blessings, my parents’ blessings, and the grace of my guru… I was shot, but the bullet has been removed. I thank the doctors here, especially Dr. Garwal. Thank you all for your prayers and support.”
