Delhi-based art connoisseur and socialite Shalini Passi has recently gained widespread attention after her appearance on Season 3 of Netflix’s reality show Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. In a recent interview, Shalini revealed that her longtime family friend, Gauri Khan—wife of Shah Rukh Khan—was initially ‘concerned’ about her participation in the show. However, after watching her on screen, Gauri found her ‘incredible.’

In a recent interview with News 18, Shalini recalled Gauri’s heartfelt reaction. She said, “The most special reaction came from Gauri. She called me while I was in Bombay, just before Manish Malhotra’s Diwali party,” Shalini recalled. “She said, ‘I’ve seen it. It’s amazing. You’re incredible.’ She was genuinely concerned for me, and when she told me how much she loved the show, it really touched my heart. Gauri knows me better than most, so hearing that from her was very special.”

Shalini shares a long-standing connection with Shah Rukh Khan’s family, dating back to their school days. In a previous conversation with India Today, she opened up about her ties with the Khan family. “My husband and Gauri were neighbours in Delhi, and they grew up together. In fact, Shah Rukh and my husband studied together. My son and Aryan also went to university together. We are very close; they are like family to us.”

She also spoke fondly of her bond with Gauri, highlighting her friend’s grounded nature. “Gauri being from Delhi, and with her father being in the army, has this amazing quality of remaining grounded. It’s rare to maintain that in our industry. Gauri is a very solid person, whether it comes to her family or her friends. When she visits Delhi, she always makes it a point to meet her school and college friends and spend time with them. It’s truly a pleasure to know her and the entire family,” she had said.

Shalini appeared alongside Kalyani Chawla and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni as a part of the Delhi group in the latest season of the Netflix show, which brought back the original Mumbai ‘wives’ Maheep Kapoor, Seema Sajdeh, Bhavana Pandey and Neelam Kothari.
