Gauri Khan designs Karan Johar’s bachelor pad, says new place reflects filmmaker’s core: ‘Glamorous, fun, and over the top’

“I would highly recommend that if you have a friend who is an interior expert, you get them to design your home. Gauri gave this home so much love, it really shows in every corner,” Karan told AD. Replying to which, Gauri added, “Karan’s approval means the most. It’s like getting an A-plus in an exam!”

Karan Johar’s home has a “wraparound terrace”, which lent itself to a “vast space” which has been newly designed. “It’s such a vast space, and with no furniture around, the kids could run around and play. Every evening, once Roohi and Yash were done with virtual schooling, we would gather there for chai, and get in some family time,” Karan said.

Gauri Khan remarked the bachelor pad has been “designed to reflect who Karan is: glamorous, fun, and also a little over the top!” She also took to Instagram and shared pictures, writing, “Drawing inspiration from @karanjohar’s work that he creates with his unique eye for design… here’s his newly designed bachelor pad! @archdigestindia.”

On the work front, Karan Johar is awaiting the release of his next directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film, starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi, is scheduled to release on July 28.
