Gadar 2 actor Manish Wadhwa recalls Sunny Deol’s reaction after shooting climax: ‘He came, adjusted my collar and asked…’

Actor Sunny Deol’s recently released film Gadar 2 is creating history at the box office. Sunny’s loyal fanbase was overjoyed as they saw him playing Tara Singh after two decades but unlike his on-screen persona, the actor is a gentle and caring man in real life. Sunny’s Gadar 2 co-star Manish Wadhwa recently shared his experience of working with the actor.

In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Manish who plays the antagonist Major General Hamid Iqbal in Gadar 2, recalled shooting the climax of the film. In this particular scene, Tara Singh grabs Hamid’s head between his upper arms and chokes him.

Manish said, “So that particular scene, the moment the director said ‘cut’, he came to me, adjusted my collar and asked ‘Lagi to nahi?‘ (Hope you didn’t get hurt?) and I said, ‘Nahi nahi paaji. Nahi lagi‘. (No, No brother. I didn’t) This is his care, that you didn’t get hurt in any way. He is amazing.”

“Sunny paaji doesn’t look at just himself. He looks at the entire film. He never forces his thoughts on you, he asks very sweetly, ‘what if we do it like this?’ and at the same time, he cares for you a lot,” said Manish.

Gadar 2, which released on August 11, has been a hit since its opening day. Despite clashing with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 at the Hindi box office, the film opened to a thunderous response and collected over Rs 40 crore on just the first day. As per the latest reports, Gadar 2 has finished its second successful week and collected Rs 335.9 crore.
