Revealed: First Pictures of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from the sets of ‘Jazbaa’

Former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s return to cinema after a hiatus of four long years is finally materializing. The actress has already begun shooting for director Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Jazbaa’ along with Irrfan Khan. The duo was seen in suburban Juhu, filming an intense scene at an eatery here.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who plays a lawyer in the courtroom drama, was accompanied by 10 security guards. The mother-of-one was wearing full-black attire and carrying a cross-body bag.

According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, “The scene involved an intense meeting between Ash’s character, a lawyer, and Irrfan who plays a suspended cop. They meet for the first time and a heated exchange follows. The crew was so pleased with the shots canned that they gave Ash a standing ovation.”

Earlier, Sanjay Gupta had also shared a picture of his lead actress on Twitter.

Sanjay Gupta is also making sure to keep Aishwarya’s fans updated about the happenings on the sets.

‘Jazbaa’ also stars veteran actress Shabana Azmi, who will join the cast next week.

‘Jazbaa’ is an official remake of a foreign film but Sanjay Gupta is not yet ready to give the name of. Sanjay Gupta had earlier said in an interview to Indian Express: “All I can say is it is a thriller and a drama, about what ordinary people can do in extraordinary situations.”

‘Jazbaa’ has Aishwarya Rai playing the role of a lawyer, Irrfan playing a suspended cop and Shabana Azmi as his mother and a renowned professor. On the other hand, the film will also see John Abraham in a special appearance. Sanjay Gupta is aiming for a Cannes premiere.
