Fateh box office collection day 3: Sonu Sood’s film sees minimal growth despite BOGO offer, earns Rs 6.6 cr
Fateh box office collection day 3: Sonu Sood’s directorial debut is facing stiff competition from Ram Charan's Game Changer, and the film's earnings have remained low despite offers.

Sonu Sood‘s directorial debut, Fateh, opened at the box office on Friday with little fanfare and maintained its quiet run through the first weekend. The film, which features Sonu in the lead role, is the first Hindi release of 2025 and faced direct competition from Telugu star Ram Charan’s Game Changer, which released on the same day. According to Sacnilk, Fateh earned Rs 2.10 crore on Sunday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 6.60 crore.
The film began its box office journey on Friday with an opening day collection of Rs 2.4 crore. However, despite Saturday being a weekend, the film witnessed a 12.50 percent drop, earning Rs 2.1 crore. Ideally, Fateh should have seen a significant uptick in earnings over the weekend, but it only managed a marginal increase on Sunday.
This underwhelming performance occurred despite the makers slashing ticket prices to Rs 99. Additionally, a special Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) offer was introduced on Sunday to boost footfall, but it failed to make a substantial impact on collections. Announcing the offer on Instagram, Zee Studios shared a poster with the caption, “Samay aa gaya hai, aapke liye power-packed offer ka! Book one ticket and get another one free, offer starts today. Fateh in cinemas now.”

Fateh is facing stiff competition from the Telugu film Game Changer. The clash between these two films has reignited the ongoing debate surrounding Regional vs Hindi cinema at the box office. While Game Changer’s box office performance pales in comparison to recent regional blockbusters like Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, it has still far outpaced Fateh on multiple counts. Despite suffering a weekend drop of over 50 percent, Game Changer managed to earn Rs 17 crore on Sunday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 89.6 crore.
Fateh tells a story of courage, resilience, and the fight against cybercrime, inspired by real-life incidents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Interestingly, Sonu Sood became a household name during the pandemic due to his extensive humanitarian efforts. He helped thousands of stranded migrant workers return to their homes during the nationwide lockdown. The film also features notable performances by Vijay Raaz, Jacqueline Fernandes and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles.
